Advancing Encouragement By:
Bishop James Jr. Hairston
Proverb: 29:25: The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso putts his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
Have you ever seen a noose to catch animals? You can say it is a trap, this is what snare means in this text a noose or trap for animals! Picture one of those traps that clamps down on your legs if you walk into them and you are completely unable to move or go anywhere waiting to be hunted down and killed. Is that the way to live walking into traps all the time in fear of being killed and hopefully someone will come along to free you. It can even be worse than that when the trap you are in is the same trap you set for yourself. How insane does that sound? Well, many people are punishing themselves with fear; fear that they can relinquish or eradicate from themselves by putting their trust in God instead of fearing what man can do to them. Fear wants to destroy you, leave you powerless, hopeless and faithless without the possibilities’ of deliverance, freedom, success or prosperity. Fear wants to hold you back from what God have in-store for you. When you are caught in a snare of fear there is a slow death, spiritually, mentally, and eventually physically approaching. Yet, God did not give you the spirit of fear but of power and of love, and of a sound mind, 2Timothy 1:7. Therefore, here is the solution, by putting your trust in the Lord and you will be safe from all of your worries, doubts, problems, and fears because they will be eradicated from your mind and you will be filled with God’s Power and safety! This is what safe means in the original language, it means from the word; sagab or saw-gab': to be lofty, especially inaccessible; by implication, safe, strong; used literally and figuratively --defend, exalt, be excellent, and to be set up on high. This safety is where God defends you and then exalts you above your situation and you will see things turn out tremendous, exceptional, magnificent, superb and brilliant in your life! This is Gods safety and this is God’s Power working on your behave. Therefore today my friend, you have the fortitude and the power to stand in God’s safety and not be moved by anything or anyone in Jesus Name…
