Nehemiah: 4:17: They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

This message is for everyone that has a call in life to accomplish great things for God! What are you working for in life to accomplish for God? What are you trying to be successful at in life to accomplish for the Kingdom of God? Who is trying to prevent your work from being accomplished? What oppositions are you up against in life that has the potential to keep you from being successful at whatever you are trying to accomplish for God? Are there any possibilities of opposition in your life that you can see coming or possibly face? If you do not see anything coming or any possibilities of oppositions that you may face in life to try to stop you from being successful for God then keep living because if you are a born again baptized believer on the move for God then you will perceive some opposition eventually. You see, the enemy never wants the child of God to be successful at anything that will bring God glory and the enemy can come in many forms. He may not come in the form of a person it could be your circumstances becomes your opposition to prevent progress and success. However, there is always someone or something behind your opposition and we must have the right tools at hand in order to defeat our enemies and oppositions in life. In the text the Wall of Jerusalem was being restored on the backs of Nehemiah and the people of God while the enemies of God were trying to prevent the work to be accomplished and successful. The people of God were told not to be fearful of there enemies because God will fight your battles, verse 14. God had the people who were working on the wall to have his weapon in one hand and to toil with the other. In verse 18 it boiled down to having their sword tightened by his side while they worked. In order to be successful at what God has called you to do to glorify Him you must have your sword at all times which is the word of God while you are toiling to be successful. Not only that you have to also use your word of God in order to accomplish the things you are doing for God. In addition, what God has called you to do to the glory of God is for the purpose of building Gods Kingdom. You have a gift, a talent; you have something to contribute to the Kingdom. If you are a pastor, a teacher, a preacher, a minister, administrator, evangelists, a singer, a praise dancer, a giver, an exhorter, encourager or spiritual gifts such as word of wisdom, word of knowledge, strong faith, prophecy, discerning of spirits and others are for the up-building of the Kingdom of God. In addition, I do not want to leave out other callings to the glory of God from a doctor to a Lawyer, to a nurse, even a Janitor have work to do in the Kingdom and there are many other duties and responsibilities to the Glory of God, Colossians 3:17! Yet, you must toil in one hand with the word of God in the other and you will be successful to accomplish the great things for God and what He has in-store for you in Jesus Name…
