Obadiah: 1:21: And saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

What is Obadiah saying to the people who is reading this text and is this text for the era of Jesus Christ? In actuality this prophecy is for the restoration, the deliverance and holiness at Jerusalem, and the house of Jacob would again occupy their possessions. Much of this prophecy was fulfilled when the Jews returned to their own land. However, on the other hand, this type of Christ is throughout the Old Testament in prophecy of the Lord’s Kingdom in its full reign through Jesus Christ! Salvation then will truly come not just in the physical but in His eternal kingdom and reign, Luke 1:33, Revelations 11:15. Let us start with the saviors that have reference to the remnant of God that has been delivered out of captivity to set up the reign of Jerusalem from Mount Zion the place of refuge to Judge Edom. Obadiah has a type of Christ prophecy in this text as well, for He came to set the captives free through the gospel of Jesus Christ, Luke 4:18 which are saviors or those who have been saved by the blood of the lamb. When you look at the text starting in verse 17 these saviors are those who have been delivered or escape captivity to the place of refuge called Mount Zion whom will be holy! This is what Jesus Christ came to do first for the Jews and then for the Gentiles, Acts 15: 3-9. Not only that the saviors are those who spread the gospel and those who hear the gospel to be saved, 1Timothy 4:16 that will judge the world, 1Corinthians 6:2: Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Esau represents the world in this text including those who are in the Church acting like the world is our responsibility to judge in Jesus name. If by the hearing of the word of God you have been saved by the blood of the lamb you are represented here as a savior in the since of a deliverer or those who are victorious to possess power and might in the Lord’s Kingdom which will rule for all eternity. Today my friend you have authority and power over the world and this is a collective power possessed by the saints, the saviors of the world! No one has the authority to walk over you, despise you or put you down why; you are a child of the King that has all power in His hand! So Stand with authority and power to judge the world by walking in confidence and strength in the word of God knowing that God has given you a purpose and a plan for your life too accomplish the great things He has in-store for you in Jesus Name…
