Advancing Encouragement By:

Galatians: 6:9: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
The idea here about well doing is all about the work of the Lord and everyone of faith as a believer in Jesus Christ has work to do in the Lord. Every good work is not necessarily the work of a preacher, teacher, evangelist, pastor, minister or deacon but we all are ministers and it is anyone that loves the Lord and being about His business. The work of God is about everyday life we have to commit all of our way’s to Him so that we will be that example to others of the faith or of the world. Here in the text Paul started out talking about correcting our brothers and sisters in the Lord and that everyone has to bear one another’s burdens, verse 1 and 2. However, there comes a time when we all have to bear our own burdens because what we sow we will reap. If you are sowing to the flesh the sinful nature then you will reap those things that are of the consequences of sowing to the flesh or corruption. If you sow to the spirit you will reap those things that pertain to life and godliness and life everlasting, verse 8. This everlasting in the Greek is perpetual (also used of past time, or past and future as well):--eternal, for ever, everlasting, world (began). That is your reward for sowing the things of the spirit which is God’s Spirit not your spirit that is the things that pertain to life and godliness. In this life you walk in the spirit, talk in the spirit, you live pertaining to spiritual things. These spiritual things in the text are getting involved with the teachers as you are being taught responding to the teaching to encourage one another, verse 6. In addition, you have to prove your own work and not rely on someone else’s labor in the Lord but your own work will bring you great joy, verse 4. In other words, your pastor’s work does not count in your stead or any other leader, your spouse or anyone carrying out the work of the Lord. If you just live your life as an example of Christ and do not even open up your mouth but by your presence you bless someone. You can also pray for people and tell them I am praying on your behalf and that can bless someone’s life right away. However, it does not hurt to say something encouraging to someone that can either lead them to salvation or lift their spirits in the Lord. The reward is this; this world is not your home and you are just passing through and your home is laid up there in heaven waiting on you with many mansions and gold paved roads. However, God also rewards you in this life with many blessings from the fruits of your labor in Christ. Today, faint not for well doing your life will be blessed for not giving up on the work that God has called you too. If you are a Pastor, Evangelist, Deacon, Minister, Prophet, Laymen or just a godly person doing the work of God, stay in Encouraged your season is just around the corner when you will reap a harvest in God’s time filled with many blessings in this life and the life to come in Jesus name…
