Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
The idea here in the text when David said the LORD is my light; he was saying the Lord is my illumination, my happiness, my bright and clear day, my lightning and morning sun from the Greek word ore or owr. Today put yourself in David’s words so that you can experience the personal affect of your relationship with God. The Lord is my illumination, my happiness, my bright and clear day, my lightning and morning sun. In addition, the idea of my salvation comes from the Greek word yesha` yeh'-shah or yeshai {yay'-shah}; meaning the Lord is my liberty, my deliverance, my prosperity, my safety and my saving. Wow! Here is a wide range of meaning for light and salvation to make an implication that fits your situation to make a precise application. That is why David said whom shall I fear? Not only that the Lord is also the strength of your life! Meaning the Lord is my fortified place, He’s my defense, my force, and He is my fortress, my rock, and my strong hold. When the Lord is all of this in your life there is no way you should ever be afraid of anything! Fear is a spirit like what Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Paul gets what David did thousands of years before. Therefore, today this is who you are; this is what you know about how you feel right now in your mind, spirit, your heart and soul! You are experiencing What David experience in his relationship with God! Right now you are happy, this is a decision, and you have a clear and bright day today. Today you are prosperous, safe in the Lords arms and you have been set free from all of your anxieties, pain, hurts, wants or needs. Why, the Lord has your back and he will take care of you today. As a matter of fact He is your fortified place of refuge, your defense; He is your force, your fortress, your rock and your stronghold! You have nothing to fear today no matter what your situation is or will become you are in the Lords Hands and no man can ever snatch you out, John 10:28, 29! Put away all of your fears and believe this word in your heart, trust in the Lord in all your ways today, give Him praise and worship where you are right now and He will make all of your paths straight and your blessings will come down in Jesus name…
