Advancing Encouragement By:
Bishop James Jr. Hairston
Romans: 8:37: Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
What is a conqueror and how can you be more than or go beyond a conqueror? To conqueror is to subdue, conquest, prevail and to gain victory over whatever task, mission or assignment you have at hand. The idea here is that God has given you an assignment or task to accomplish each day of your life. This is not simply a one set goal; plan or dream that can take some time to develop and execute this is a daily incremental feat to gain victory over each day. I am talking about our daily battles we have at hand to overcome, like if you are in school with daily homework, on a job having a daily project, if under persecution needing daily strength to overcome or just having daily ordinary problems. These daily struggles can be overwhelming to handle in some cases not including the bigger picture that we have to face but only in incremental stages can we defeat the problems, goals, task or any situation at hand. There is a saying to take one day at a time to overcome life situations and it takes knowing who you are and who you belong too conquering each day! No matter what you are going through God said that you are above and beyond conquering your problems why, because you were victorious before your battle begun. The phrase more than conquerors means, to vanquish beyond, over, above, to subdue (literally or figuratively):--conquer, overcome, prevail and get the victory. Now, to vanquish beyond is enough for me and that is to annihilate above and beyond your problem or situation meaning to destroy your problem at hand before it even comes up! We have to believe Romans 8:37 is possible by having the mindset to trust God in His Word that what he promised to us we are assured to possess all of His promises that will manifest itself and come to past in our life. We cannot doubt His word but believe that it is true and it will manifest itself into fruition. In the same text He said in the next verses by Paul the author and in the previous, I am persuaded that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, 35, 38, 39. Today my friend in-spite of what you are going through or what task, assignment, mission, plan, job, goal, problem, circumstance or situation you may be in God has the upper hand and He is bigger than your situation. You are more than a conqueror, you are beyond a conqueror, and you got the victory, just trust and believe in Jesus Name…
