Advancing Encouragement By:
Bishop James Jr. Hairston
John: 15:15: Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
What is a servant? A servant is a slave or subservient to his or her master either voluntary or involuntary. A servant cannot know the affairs of His or her master but a friend to the master can know the affairs and can be apart or a partaker of His affairs. However, after being made free from sin or subservient to sin we have become servants to God; Romans: 6:22: But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Hence, on one hand we are servants to God because He is master that makes us subservient to Him, He is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On the other hand, by Jesus being our Savior comes with many benefits, we are not only subservient to our master and Lord but friends as well. This benefit is worth more than any subservient position on the face of the earth. If you have a job and work for a boss in high management a CEO for an example, you will never know his or her affairs in business. Moreover, you would not even know the affairs of business in lower management! Why, because you are subservient to management is the bottom line. Yet, when it comes to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, not only is He our Lord and master we have access to all of His affairs in the Kingdom of God. Number one we operate from the Throne Room of God because of what He said in Ephesians 2:6, that we were raised up with Him and made to sit with Him in heavenly places. OK, where does He sit? He sits at the right Hand of God the Father and where does the Father sit? He sits on the Throne in the Heavenly places is where we are and He has revealed to us all of His power, rule, dominion and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords over Heaven and earth! That is why in the text Jesus said the servant knows not what his lord does but all things that I have heard of my Father I have made it known to you, John 15:5. Not only that He chose us to do His will in the earth by bearing fruit and whatever we ask in Jesus name the father will give it, verse16. However, the asking is according to His will that we bring Him glory with what we are asking for in Jesus name. Today my friend is your day to achieve your accomplishments in the thing that God has ordained for you, (verse 16) by bearing much fruit and blessing others that comes into your path. I declare and decree that God has a special purpose for you and for your life so get ready to be blessed by what God has for you because you are a friend of Jesus and He has already declared it and decreed it for you to receive it in Jesus Name…
