RESURRECTION WEEK
John: 20:29: Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
In this scene the disciples had to see to believe, also in verse 20. This is after Jesus Christ resurrection when He had appeared to His disciples the second time. Thomas was not with the disciples when Jesus had appeared to them 8 day’s prior to this event. Thomas told his comrades that he would not believe unless he sees proof. Have you ever needed proof in order to believe something? This is human nature to see before you can believe because things that seem impossible we cannot fathom, unless it is in the natural. Like believing a car can start on a cold morning or believing gossip before you start spreading it not even knowing if it is true. However, when it comes to things that seem impossible goes beyond the natural and it is hard to believe before you see it or witness it. It is hard for a woman to believe that she can have kids after being told from her doctor she cannot have children. It is hard to believe that a family member can be healed from cancer after the doctor tells you that your family member’s cancer is in stage four. It will take the supernatural power of God to intervene in these scenarios for the woman to have a child or a family member to be healed from cancer. Well, now put your self there in Thomas shoes knowing this resurrection thing is not natural and how can this be, it is impossible, this is out of the norm so I have to see it before I believe it! Yet, Thomas has been with Jesus for three years and he heard Jesus talk about His death burial and resurrection in the previous chapters. After Thomas witness the resurrection Jesus is telling everyone who were not there to see it first before you believe it, that you are blessed meaning, supremely blest; by extension, fortunate or well off, from the word makarios. My friend, by you believing in Jesus Christ without witnessing His death burial and resurrection with your eyes it was with the supernatural power of God that lead you to believe and now He is rewarding you to accomplish great things in His Kingdom! You are supremely best, extremely blest and enormously blest with the Power and Favor of God on your side and in your life! You are so fortunate and well off to have the power that God has given you because you believed on Him and the bible say’s he bared us witness because he knew our hearts and in-turn gave us the Holy Ghost, Acts 15. Meaning, He exposed Himself to us as witnesses to the gospel that it is true. You believe because Jesus Christ revealed Himself to you in some form or fashion and the gospel of Jesus Christ took hold of you with fire and great conviction that lead you to believe. Today my friend, it is time to walk in your great power of the Holy Ghost that you can do exceedingly, abundantly above all you can ask or think according to the power that works in you! That is your fortune and your wealth the Power of the Holy Ghost to accomplish great and miraculous things in Christ Jesus that will bring you prosperity and success in everything you do. Believing is seeing my friend, now go live it out in your life in Jesus Name…
