Advancing Encouragement By:
Bishop James Jr. Hairston
2Peter: 1:10: Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
Many are called but few are chosen, Matthew: 22:14. In Jesus Christ parable of the Kingdom of Heaven being made like unto a King giving a wedding and a feast for His son, made it perfectly clear that many are called both bad and good, Matthew: 22: 10. In Jesus Christ parable some will not be chosen because there will be many making excuses, some persecuting the messengers and others showing up but not clothed properly, Matthew: 22: 5-11 and in that they were not worthy. He dresses them in their wedding garments, Matthew: 22:11 to be prepared for the wedding. Peter said in the text to make your calling and election sure, meaning although you have been called do not mean you are clothed properly by the way you live in the world. You have to accept the things that God has given you for life and godliness through the knowledge of Christ Jesus, verse 3 and you will not fall or fail verse 10. You have to be able to escape the corruption that is in the world through lust and that is by receiving Gods exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, verse 4. When that happens being partakers of Gods divine nature then youre calling and knowing you are chosen is guaranteed and you are one of the elected in the Kingdom of God! If this is you elected in the Kingdom of God that means you are not a failure, you are not a looser because you will never fall, stumble, err or fail because you are one of the chosen; you are one of the few being partakers of Gods Divine Nature in Jesus Name
